Sierra-Rockies Corporation Announces
Hotel Management Contracts



COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo., June 11, 1997 - Sierra-Rockies
Corporation (the "Company") (OTC Bulletin Board: SIRK)
announced the Company, through its Sierra Hospitality Services,
Inc., subsidiary, has entered into contracts to manage the href="chap11.barrington.html">Barrington Hotel owned by
Donald Schofield, Robert Schofield and Jodie Wood, and to manage
the Brighton Place owned by Great Southern Bank FSB. Both
facilities are located in Branson, Missouri.



The contract to manage the Barrington Hotel is subject to
approval of the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the Western District of
Missouri, Southern Division, in the following matter: "in
Re: Barrington Hotel, Inc., Case No. 97-60640-S- 11.



These contracts are in line with the Company's entrance into
the hotel and hospitality business through its subsidiary.



The Company also announced it has accepted the resignation of
Mr. Ray Bouchard as a Director of the Company.



The Company is also continuing to move forward its Wandering
Star Hotel & Casino project located in Cripple Creek,
Colorado.
